Abstract

This application relates to apparatus and methods for automatically grouping the same or similar items provided by various suppliers that may use various supplier identification systems to identify the items to a retailer. In some examples, item update data identifying an attribute of an item is received and an anomaly is detected in a hierarchical structure of a database. The anomaly is detected by a machine learning model trained by a supervised training dataset based on attributes of items. A hierarchical association between the attribute of the item and the item in the database is generated when the detected anomaly includes a difference between a first hierarchical relationship defined in the item update data and a second hierarchical relationship defined for the item in the database. Item data including the hierarchical association is transmitted to update at least one marketplace.

Abstract

An analysis of the scans is performed to determine whether the selected item was moved from the back room to the shelf, then returned from the shelf to the back room. The analysis also determines a re-bin time when the selected product was returned to the back room. An adjustment to the PI is blocked when last PI adjustment time is later than the re-bin time. An adjustment to the PI is also blocked when an audit indicator is received at the interface indicating that the retail store is under an audit. An adjusted PI value is determined when the analysis indicates that the selected item was moved from the back room to the shelf, then returned from the shelf, the adjusted PI value being at least one more than the shelf capacity value.

Abstract

A communication protocol provides for a smartphone transmitting location information to a control circuit and the control circuit then determining whether the smartphone is within a predetermined distance of a particular facility, and, when true, determining whether a temporal flag is active for the smartphone. If true, the control circuit does not respond to the smartphone. When the smartphone is within the predetermined distance of the particular facility and that temporal flag is not active, however, the control circuit transmits an in-app alert to the smartphone to provide the user with an opportunity to indicate whether the user will now take a particular action, or not. When the smartphone transmits a not-now message to the control circuit, the latter sets the aforementioned temporal flag.

Abstract

Systems and methods for identifying, tracking usage of, and replenishing products on a shelf of a product storage unit include a pressure sensor array positioned on the shelf and configured to detect forces exerted on the pressure sensor array by each of the products located on the shelf. An electronic database stores reference pressure array data representative of a reference pressure data model relative to each of the products. A computing device obtains a pressure data set associated with a product that was captured by the pressure sensor array when the product was positioned on the pressure sensor array, and correlates the pressure data set associated with the product with the reference pressure array data stored in the electronic database to determine an identity of the product and a consumption level of the product, automatically replenishing the product when consumption of the product is above a set threshold.

Abstract

An out-of-stock indicator is received that indicates a product is out-of-stock or believed to be out-of-stock. Information about the features of the products and store are obtained or determined. The features are applied to a first machine learning model, which yields a probability that the item is out-of-stock. The obtained probability is compared to a threshold, and if the probability value is above a threshold, then the PI value is adjusted. If not above the threshold, then scans are monitored for out-of-stock conditions, and some time later the features will be applied to a different model, and the above-process repeated. In aspects, this process occurs over a certain time period or until the PI is adjusted.

Abstract

Systems and methods for template generation are disclosed. In response to receiving a request for a resource from a user device, a set of available network identifiers is identified based on the request and a subset of identifiers of the set of available network identifiers is selected based on filtering criteria and the request. A new record defining the resource is generated by mapping the resource to each identifier of the subset of identifiers and a template is generated based on a set of rules identifying the subset of identifiers and the new record. The template is transmitted to a deployment system.

Abstract

Some systems and methods are directed to a device agnostic architecture configured to control and/or manage the interactions between front end store systems (e.g., self checkout (SCO) systems) for capturing purchase items and backend systems (e.g., point of sale (POS) subsystems) for completing purchases. The device agnostic architecture can include a translation layer or translation component that mediates communications from and/or between the front end and backend systems. For example, the translation layer maps any commands received from any SCO and/or POS device into execution commands native to receiving systems. For example, back-end processing systems can be configured to control on-line identification of products and/or services for purchase, and manage execution of sales of any goods or services. The translation layer manages communication between SCO devices and the backend systems so each communicates with each other according to their respective formats (e.g., communication protocol and/or data format).
