Further, a pigment composition according to the present invention is an organic pigment covered with lauroyl lysine and has a contact angle with water of 95 degrees or more and a nitrogen specific surface area ratio between before and after being covered of 0.90 or less. A polyarylene sulfide (PAS) resin composition that contains a PAS resin and an antiviral agent, has superior antibacterial and antiviral properties, and maintains its intrinsic mechanical strength, weld strength in particular, an article molded from this resin composition, and methods for producing them are provided. The present invention provides a nano silicon which has a specific surface area of 100 to 400 m2/g, while containing 5 to 45 atom% of oxygen atoms if the sum of oxygen atoms and silicon atoms is taken as 100 atom%. It is preferable that the nano silicon has a crystallite diameter of 5 to 14 nm. It is also preferable that the nano silicon has a volume average particle diameter of 10 to 200 nm. The present invention provides: an active material for secondary batteries, the active material comprising this nano silicon; and a secondary battery which contains the active material for secondary batteries in the negative electrode.

The coating agent: has excellent drying properties at low temperature compared to water-based coating agents; is capable of suppressing film deformation even when applied onto a stretched polyolefin film which has lower heat resistance than polyester films or nylon films; and has a lower organic solvent residue level in a coating film formed thereof. The present invention provides: a two-pack curable coating agent containing polyester polyol (A), an isocyanate compound (B), an inorganic solvent (C), and a drying aid (D); and a layered body and a packaging material obtained from said coating agent.
The present invention provides solvent-based compostable cold seal release lacquers for use in packaging structures. The lacquers of the invention comprise resins, such as polyamide resins, comprising greater than 90% biobased carbon, generally prepared from renewable sources, e.g., plants such as rice.
