Abstract
Chiral redox-polymers that have been enabled for electrochemically-controlled enantioselective interactions. Supramolecular chirality was leveraged for enhancing recognition toward target enantiomers. Chiral redox-metallopolymers were synthesized based on Ugi's amine-inspired chiral monomers, and their enantioselective recognition toward ionic enantiomers, such as tryptophan and naproxen, is demonstrated, with higher enhancement provided by a chiral redox-polymer over a single-site, chiral building block. 2D nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy and solid-state circular dichroism support supramolecular chirality resulting from the intramolecular interaction between the ferrocene and the alkyl group in the backbone. The chiral redox-metallopolymers can be used as a platform for electrochemically-modulated enantioselective interactions toward a range of amino acids and pharmaceutical carboxylates.

Abstract
Methods are provided herein for training and using models to generate semantically representative continuous vectors for input mathematical expressions. These methods result in models that output continuous vectors that are nearby in an embedding space for equations that are mathematically equivalent but differently written. Such continuous vectors can be used to facilitate indexing and searching of databases of mathematical equations, e.g., to facilitate semantically-aware searching of databases of mathematical texts for equations that are mathematically equivalent to, or mathematically similar to, input query expressions. These training methods include training an encoder together with a decoder to predict pairs of mathematically equivalent but different training expressions, with the output of the encoder being the continuous vector that represents the semantic mathematical content of the pair of training expressions. Also provided are methods for efficiently generating such pairs of mathematically equivalent but different training expressions.

Abstract
New synthetic methods to provide access to previously unexplored functionality at the C8 position of substituted imidazo[5,1-d][1,2,3,5]tetrazines of Formula I. Through synthesis and evaluation of a suite of compounds with a range of aqueous stabilities (from 0.5 to 40 hours), a predictive model for imidazotetrazine hydrolytic stability based on the Hammett constant of the C8 substituent was derived. Promising compounds were identified that possess activity against a panel of GBM cell lines, appropriate hydrolytic and metabolic stability, and brain-to-serum ratios dramatically elevated relative to TMZ, leading to lower hematological toxicity profiles and superior activity to TMZ in a mouse model of GBM.

Abstract
An electrochemical method of recycling and regenerating transition metal oxides includes heating a mixture of salts to obtain a molten salt solution, and immersing a working electrode, a counter electrode and optionally a reference electrode into the molten salt solution, where the working electrode is electrically connected to a cathode material comprising a transition metal oxide. A voltage is applied to the working electrode, such that electrodissolution of the transition metal oxide occurs and an alkali metal species comprising lithium or sodium ions and a transition metal species comprising transition metal ions are produced in the molten salt solution. During application of the voltage and dissolution of the transition metal oxide, a regenerated transition metal oxide is concurrently electrochemically produced, e.g., in the form of a film or a powder.

Aspects provide an intelligent direct input/output (IDIO) architecture for facilitating movement of data between processor cores and memories. A data packet is received at a network interface and classified based on its association with an application being processed by one or more cores of a processor. The disclosed IDIO architecture may determine to steer the data packet to a cache memory (e.g., a last level cache (LLC) or middle level cache (MLC)) or random access memory in response to receiving the data packet. The determination to steer the data packet to a particular memory may be based on characteristics of the data packet, the application, or other metrics. Where the data packet is steered to the MLC, the data packet may first be steered to the LLC and then prefetched to the MLC. The application may provide control information to invalidate a cacheline associated with the data packet one used.

Abstract
An imaging substrate is provided to facilitate wide field photothermal infrared spectroscopic imaging of samples disposed thereon. The substrate includes at least two reflective layers and at least one spacer layer disposed therebetween which, together, form an optical cavity. The spacer layer(s) exhibit expansion and/or refractive index change as a function of heating by incident infrared illumination. Such localized heating results in a localized change in the effective reflectivity of the substrate by locally tuning/detuning the optical cavity. Thus, the pattern of effective reflectivity of the substrate can be made to correspond to the pattern of infrared absorptivity of a sample mounted on the substrate by illuminating the sample and the substrate with infrared illumination. The pattern of effective reflectivity can then be imaged, from the opposite side of the substrate from the sample and the incident infrared illumination, using a wide field microscope or other imaging

Abstract
Herein is described the development of NIR-nanogels for NIR light-mediated cargo delivery. NIR-nanogels feature a photolabile cyanine crosslinker that can cleave via dioxetane chemistry when irradiated. This photochemical process results in the formation of two carbonyl fragments and concomitant NIR-nanogel degradation to facilitate cargo release. In contrast to studies where cyanines are utilized as photocages, our approach does not require direct chemical attachment to the cargo, thus expanding our ability to deliver molecules that cannot be covalently modified. We showcase this feature by encapsulating a palette of small-molecule chemotherapeutics that feature structurally diverse chemical architecture.

Abstract
The attachment of glucose to drugs and imaging agents enables cancer cell targeting via interactions with GLUT1 overexpressed on the cell surface. The present technology describes a biomimetic approach for the design of a multivalent glucose moiety (mvGlu). We showcase the utility of this new group by developing aza-BODIPY-based contrast agents boasting a significant PA signal enhancement greater than 11-fold after spectral unmixing. Moreover, when applied to targeting cancer cells, effective staining could be achieved with ultra-low dye concentrations (50 nM) and compared to a non-targeted analog, the signal intensity was >1000-fold higher. Also, we employed the mvGlu technology to develop a logic-gated acoustogenic probe to detect intratumoral Cu(I), which is an emerging cancer biomarker, in a murine model of breast tumor. This application was not possible using other acoustogenic probes previously developed for copper sensing.

A plasma lamp is provided that employs excitation transfer between two atomic or molecular species so as to preferentially produce light at a specific atomic or molecular emission wavelength. The lamp includes a lamp body. The lamp body includes a top portion, a middle portion having an internal hollow space filled with an energy-donor chemical gas and an energy-acceptor chemical element, and a bottom portion. The lamp body further includes an array of a plurality of cavities connected to the internal hollow space. The internal hollow space and the array of the plurality of cavities are spaced apart from outer surfaces of the lamp body. The plasma lamp is configured to excite the energy-donor chemical gas by an ignition of a low-temperature plasma within the internal hollow space and the array of the plurality of cavities to cause an excitation transfer from the excited energy-donor chemical gas to the energy-acceptor chemical element, thereby emitting radiation having a wavelength of about 194 nm when mercury (Hg) is the energy-acceptor chemical element and helium (He) serves as the donor. Other wavelengths in the ultraviolet (UV) and vacuum ultraviolet (VUV) spectral regions are generated when other donor and acceptor atoms or molecules are employed. A unique class of perfluorocarbon-free Dextran-based oxygen nanobubbles (DONBs) and formulations thereof. The critical components in the formulation are chosen among the U.S. Food, and Drug Administration's (FDA) approved compounds, which provide a biocompatible environment for incorporating pharmaceutical agents. Moreover, the nanobubbles are fabricated with simple sonication and homogenization method that easily fulfills the current good manufacturing practices (cGMP) requirements, which will promote scaleup production for commercial manufacturing. The formulated DONBs release oxygen over an extended period to keep the partial pressure of oxygen within the inner retina high and thus preserve retinal tissue from ischemia.

Abstract
A method of spontaneously patterning a polymer during frontal polymerization includes activating an initiation region of a monomer solution to reaction to initiate a polymerization reaction. A polymerization front is generated and propagates through the monomer solution in a radial or longitudinal direction away from the initiation region. The monomer solution is spontaneously heated downstream of the polymerization front by thermal transport away from the polymerization reaction. Once a localized region of the monomer solution reaches a temperature sufficient for spontaneous initiation of another polymerization reaction, a new polymerization front is generated and propagates through the monomer solution in a circumferential or transverse direction. The spontaneous heating of the monomer solution downstream of the polymerization front and the initiation of another polymerization reaction occurs cyclically, producing multiple new polymerization fronts and spatial variations in reaction temperature across the monomer solution. Once polymerization is complete, a spontaneously patterned polymer is formed.

Abstract
Herein is disclosed amphiphilic small molecules with different hydrophobic and hydrophilic fragments that show high binding affinity to both Aβ plaques and oligomers, and selectively binding Aβ oligomers. These amphiphilic compounds can also label the Aβ species in the brain sections of transgenic AD mice, as shown by immunostaining with an Aβ antibody. Certain amphiphilic compounds were found to alleviate the Cu2+-Aβ induced toxicity in cell viability assays. Additionally, two compounds, ZY-15-MT and ZY-15-OMe, were found to disrupt the interactions between Aβ oligomers and human neuroblastoma SH-SY5Y cell membranes. These studies show compounds with amphiphilic properties that target Aβ oligomers and modulate the Aβ oligomer-cell membrane interactions can be effective as small molecule AD therapeutics. Also, the disclosed amphiphilic dicyanomethylene compounds that can emit in the near-infrared region and chelate copper can be used as early diagnostic agents for AD.

Abstract
The present disclosure relates to polynucleotide nanostructures and techniques that use polynucleotide nanostructures as biomolecular recognition entities for detecting viral infections, e.g. Covid-19, and other disease. For example, an artificial biopolymer complex can include a network of polynucleotides including structural units connected to one another via a series of arms and junctions, e.g. in the form of a DNA Star. Intersections of three or more arms form the junctions at a predetermined distance from one another. The artificial biopolymer complex further includes binders, e.g. aptamers, attached to the network of polynucleotides that can bind to antigens of a target analyte. The binders are attached at loci on one or more of the arms forming the junctions. The loci are separated by predetermined inter¬binder distances such that the binders are positioned on the network of polynucleotides in a predetermined two-dimensional or three-dimensional spatial pattern that matches a two-dimensional or three-dimensional spatial pattern of the antigens on the target analyte. The nucleic acid oligonucleotides, e.g. the aptamers, from which the nanostructure is formed may be labelled with fluorophores and/or quenchers to detect the binding to a target.

Abstract
Herein is described an oxygen nanobubbles-embedded hydrogel (ONB-G) with carbopol for oxygenation of wounds to accelerate the wound healing process. We integrate carbopol hydrogel and dextran-based ONBs, to prepare ONB-G that can hold oxygen and release it to accelerate wound healing. Oxygen release tests showed that the proposed ONB-G could maintain oxygen in the hydrogels for up to 34 days. Also, fluorescence studies indicated that the ONB-G could maintain the high oxygen levels for up to 8 weeks. Histological evaluation of tissues with a pig model with incision and punch wounds showed that treatment with ONB-G exhibited improved healing compared with hydrogel without ONBs or treated without gel. Our studies show that dextran-shell ONBs embedded in a gel (ONB-G) has the potential to accelerate wound healing given its oxygen holding capacity and release properties.

Abstract
Here we show that P. ananatis produces at least three phosphonates, two of which were purified and structurally characterized. The first, designated pantaphos, was shown to be 2-(hydroxy(phosphono)methyl)maleate; the second, a probable biosynthetic precursor, was shown to be 2-(phosphonomethyl)maleate. Purified pantaphos is both necessary and sufficient for the hallmark lesions of onion center rot. Moreover, when tested against mustard seedlings, the phytotoxic activity of pantaphos was comparable to the widely used herbicides glyphosate and phosphinothricin. Pantaphos was also active against a variety of human cell lines.

Abstract
A microscope mounting system includes a sample holder shaped and configured to fit a particular horizontal microscope stage and fix one end of a soft material sample. A blade holder configured to position a cutting blade and connect directly or eventually to the particular microscope or a frame of the particular microscope. A load measurement device is configured to determine a load applied to the cutting blade. A precision adjustment assembly sets positioning of the cutting blade in the horizontal x-y plane and the z vertical plane such that a cutting edge of the cutting blade can be positioned at a focal point of the particular microscope. At least two grips are configured to grip a second end of the soft material sample at at least two discrete locations on opposite sides of the cutting blade when the blade contacts the soft material sample at the focal point. A tension mechanism can apply tension in the x-y plane to each of the at least two grips.

Abstract
The present disclosure provides an example method for using an MRI system electrically coupled to a computing device. The method includes generating, via the MRI system, an echo-shifted echo- planar imaging with blip up/down acquisition ("esEPI-BUDA") pulse sequence including a first radiofrequency ("RF") pulse and a second RF pulse, the first RF pulse followed by a first echo- train that is interleaved with the first and the second RF pulses, and the second RF pulse followed by a second echo-train such that the first and the second echo-trains have opposite phase-encoding blip gradient polarities to traverse echo planar imaging ("EPI") k-space in a reversed order. In response to the pulse sequence being generated, the MRI system acquires two k-space datasets within a single shot and corrects image distortion, via the MRI system, based on the two acquired k-space datasets.
