Abstract

The present invention suppresses positional correction of an image which occurs along with detection of a shift in vertical eye position unintended by the user. First image correction processing S160 corrects the position of an image displayed on a display device 40 on the basis of a vertical eye position and a lateral eye position. Second image correction processing S170 corrects the position of the image displayed on the display device 40 on the basis of the vertical eye position and the lateral eye position, wherein a second correction amount Cy2 to the position of the image with respect to the amount of change in the vertical eye position is smaller than a first correction amount Cy1 to the position of the image with respect to the amount of change in the vertical eye position during the first image correction processing S160. A processor switches between the first image correction processing S160 and the second image correction processing S170 in accordance with whether or not a prescribed condition is satisfied.

Abstract

The present invention suppresses a decrease in the display quality of an image. A memory stores a plurality of display parameters 600 corresponding to each spatial region. A processor sets one or more display parameters 600 on the basis of an eye position, and determines whether information relating to the eye position indicates a specific condition. If the information relating to the eye position is determined to indicate the specific condition, then on the basis of at least the eye position, the processor sets a display parameter 600 corresponding to a region that is closer to the boundary of an eye box 200, or a region that is farther from the center 205 of the eye box 200, than the region to which an already set display parameter 600 corresponds.

Abstract

Provided is a head-up display device that can realize a desired color and can change the brightness of illumination light in accordance with a requested brightness. This HUD device comprises: a plurality of light sources; a light source driver that drives the plurality of light sources; a second control unit that illuminates the plurality of light sources via the light source driver on the basis of illumination control data; and a DMD display element that generates display light on the basis of illumination light emitted by the plurality of light sources. The illumination control data includes control modes Q1, Q2 for generating the illumination light in a brightness corresponding to a requested brightness. The control modes Q1, Q2 have differing brightness ranges BlA, BlB, which partially overlap each other. The second control unit switches modes between the control modes Q1, Q2 when the requested brightness has reached a mode switching value E2, which is located in a non-end part of an overlapping region E1 where the brightness range BlA of the control mode Q1 and the brightness range BlB of the control mode Q2 overlap.
